Our Wedding

OUR STORY Brandon and Deandra met in the most unexpected place: a St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars game in Dallas. Deandra was there with her dad, James, who just so happened to be seated right next to Brandon, who had come with his buddy, Grant. From the moment the puck dropped, Brandon and James were trading jokes back and forth, while Deandra enjoyed her hot dog and adult beverage, occasionally chiming in with a well-timed (and slightly sarcastic) comment. Brandon kept Deandra and James laughing all night both intentionally and unintentionally. Somewhere between periods, Brandon and Deandra started talking so much that James was completely left out of the conversation.Eventually he leaned over and said,“Should we trade seats?”Deandra quickly replied, “No, Dad! Be cool!” After the game (score intentionally omitted), Brandon shook James’ hand and, standing right in front of him, asked for permission to get Deandra’s number. James grinned and said, “Go ahead. Good luck!” And just like that, an ordinary hockey night turned into the start of their lifelong team — and far more hockey nights than Deandra ever planned on attending.
